This study highlights the efficacy of ActivePure’s novel advanced photocatalytic oxidation (aPCO) technology at reducing microbial burden and healthcare-onset Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (HO-MRSA) infections in a medical-surgical intensive care unit (ICU) despite no change in clinical practice.
Optional Smoke Stop HEPA filter for advanced odor removal
The Smoke Stop Filter has the same Hepa filter performance as the standard Guardian Air filter but with more activated carbon for improved smoke, gas and odor removal.
The progressive carbon filter with a honeycomb type structure improves airflow and has hundreds of odor absorbing carbon pellets. Like our standard filter, the Smoke Stop Filter has three layers: a chipboard frame and outer layer, a pleated element and a carbon element. The Smoke Stop Filter uses a higher content of granular carbon for increased efficiency. The carbon blend of the filter is designed to capture more compounds and gases to lower the pressure point which means higher airflow through the filter in terms of cubic feet per minute. The Smoke Stop Filter looks the same as the standard filter except the Service No. 48891 appears on the bottom of the filter and it will weigh more than the standard filter.
